Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are one of the most effective treatments for common skin concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration, acne, and scarring. There are many different types of chemical peels, and even if you're happy with your skin and are only interested in maintaining your complexion, there's a peel that suits your needs.

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin to make skin smoother, reduce scarring and remove blemishes. Peels can be combined with other procedures for additional improvement to skin.

Chemical peels are performed in the clinic.  Anesthesia is not required because TCA and phenol have anesthetic properties, and AHA produces only a slight stinging.

THE PERFECT DERMAâ„¢ PEEL

Suitable For All Skin Types - Fitzpatrick I - VI

THE PERFECT DERMA™ PEEL is a medical grade, medium-depth chemical peel that is safe and effective for All Skin Types & Ethnicities. The Perfect Derma Peel's exclusive formulation provides superior results for aging skin, acne, hyperpigmentation, melasma and other common skin concerns.

The application process is virtually painless and takes approximately 15 minutes. There is little downtime, with visible peeling that normally lasts two to four days.

See healthier, younger looking skin results in about one week!

THE PERFECT DERMA™ PEEL is the ONLY medical grade peel on the market that contains the master antioxidant Glutathione. Glutathione is a well-documented anti-aging antioxidant produced by the human body. However, production diminishes with age and exposure to environmental stress.  Glutathione penetrates deep into the cellular level of the skin to help reduce free radical damage, brighten the skin and slow down the aging process.

Regular peels help prevent fine lines and wrinkles, enhance overall skin health and inhibit melanin production.

Frequently Asked Questions

If this is your first chemical peel, you may have a few questions or concerns before treatment. These are some of the most common questions patients have before receiving a chemical peel, so you’re well-prepared for your Perfect Derma Peel!

  1. "How many treatments will I need?"

You'll notice an improvement in your skin tone and texture after a single treatment. Most people receive a series of 3 to 6 treatments every 4 to 6 weeks for the best results. Once your Perfect Derma Peel treatments are complete, you'll need to receive 2 to 4 Perfect Derma Peel treatments per year to maintain your results.

  1. "How long will the results last?"

As with most medium-depth chemical peels, the results should last two to six months. Remember, your results will last longer when you maintain your skincare routine.

  1. "How intense is the peeling process?"

Since no two people have the same skin, the amount of peeling will vary for everyone. Some people experience extensive peeling for up to 10 days, while others experience minimal peeling. The factors that affect your amount of peeling include your skin health, genetic makeup, and desired results.

If your regular skincare routine contains a fair amount of chemical exfoliants, you may have little to no peeling during recovery. Even if your skin is not physically peeling, the Perfect Derma Peel will work at a cellular level to improve skin health.

  1. "Do I need to change my makeup or skincare routine after the treatment?"

Your skin will be more sensitive after the Perfect Derma Peel treatment, so you may need to avoid active skin care ingredients for at least a week afterward. These active ingredients include:

  • Retinoids and retinol
  • Vitamin C
  • Anti-acne products
  • Exfoliating agents such as glycolic acid and salicylic acid

After you peel, stick with a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF. You may wear makeup seven days after your chemical peel.

  1. "Is there a minimum or maximum age for the Perfect Derma Peel?"

You may receive the Perfect Derma Peel between the ages of 13 and 75. However, patients younger than 18 will need their legal guardian present during treatment. If you have a health condition, consult your dermatologist or primary care physician before getting a chemical peel.

Preparing for Your Perfect Derma Peel

Before your Perfect Derma Peel, you must prepare your skin to avoid excessive irritation and adverse side effects. Furthermore, preparation will ensure you get the best results possible from your treatment. These simple tips will help you prep your skin.

  • Do not exfoliate. Chemical peels are exfoliating treatments, so you won't need to use any physical or chemical exfoliants a week before your treatment. Double-check your daily skincare routine for any exfoliating ingredients and avoid them so your treatment doesn't damage your skin.
  • No Botox, Fillers, Laser, microneedling or RF microneedling. None of these procedures for 4 weeks before or after.
  • Avoid makeup. The Perfect Derma Peel will penetrate your skin much better without excess grime and dirt on your skin. If possible, take a break from makeup to let your skin detox.
  • Stay out of the sun. Chemicals work best when your skin isn't sun damaged, so avoiding the sun for as long as possible before your treatment is beneficial. If you do go outside, wear a hat and SPF to minimize sun exposure.

And that's all there is to it! Be sure to follow any additional instructions provided by your skincare specialist, and get ready to reveal brighter, fresher skin.

The Perfect Derma Peel Aftercare

Your skincare specialist will provide you with an aftercare kit following your Perfect Derma Peel treatment. Following these steps will ensure that your recovery goes smoothly.

  • Day 1-2. At first, your skin will feel tight and look darker than usual. Do not wash your face for 6 hours after treatment. You can apply the Post Peel Moisturizer if your skin feels itchy or irritated
  • Day 2 (Morning). After washing your face with a gentle cleanser, apply the first Post Peel Towelette and let the product sit for an hour before applying a mineral sunscreen.
  • Day 2 (Night). At least 30 minutes before bed, wash and dry your face. Then, apply the 2nd Post Peel Towelette and leave the product on overnight.

After the first two days, your skin will begin to peel. As the Perfect Derma Peel takes effect, avoid sweating or going to the sauna for five days. You can also apply the Post Peel Moisturizer to alleviate irritation and speed up healing time.

In the meantime, don't pull or rub the peeling skin, as doing so can cause scarring. Remain patient as your skin heals, and you'll have the clear, glowing skin you've always wanted!
